CONCRETE TESTING
When required by the Building Department, Structural Engineer, or just for sound of mind, our ACI Field Technicians hold certifications in correct methods and procedures as dictated by the American Concrete Institute and will come to your site and test your concrete to project requirements. Our Inspectors will form concrete cylinders for required strength determination tested in our Lab. Reinforcing steel inspection is offered as well.
COMPACTION TESTING
Fill dirt on a site requires compaction of the soil to ensure that it will hold up under load, traffic and the elements. Often sites will require density testing of compacted subgrade below excavated footings, newly applied fill in cut and fill operations, utility trenches or road base including asphalt. CIS provides APNGA Certified Technicians using Densometers to verify compaction as required.
MATERIALS TESTING
CIS has a materials testing lab for fine and coarse aggregates used in the Construction Industry. CIS uses ACI Certification for Aggregate Technicians to test your rock to WSDOT/ County or local specifications. Typical tests include: Moisture Density Relationship (Proctor), Gradation, Sand Equivalency, Atterberg Limits and Soil Classification.

Construction Inspection Services is located between Sequim and Port Angeles on the Olympic Peninsula. We offer a wide variety of Construction Inspection Services required by the International Building Code and Local Building Official. Our services include:
